Muscle Supplements
There are a lot of different muscle supplements in the market. Most of them are aimed at individuals who are interested in increasing their lean muscle mass- i.e. getting “bigger” and more defined. But there are a lot of options out there. What to choose? What is the best muscle building supplement?
One frequently found muscle building supplement that body builders have been utilizing for many years that can now be found mainstream would be Creatine. This is actually a substance that is manufactured by the body during the metabolism of protein. It is a source of fuel that is useful for explosive sporting movements or activity bursts that in general range from one to six seconds, says Amanda Carlson who is the director of performance nutrition and research at an intensive training facility based in Arizone called Athletes’ Performance. Loading up muscles with Creatine can help you perform even better and aid in muscle recovery.
Carlson, who commonly works with both amateur and professional athletes, recommends consuming a muscle supplement that combine Creatine with carbs, for example those manufactured by Abbott Nutrition’s brand, EAS forty five minutes prior to a workout. Carbohydrates can improve the supplement’s level of absorption in to your muscles. Combining Creatine with a glass of juice can also help you achieve the same effect, she claims.
For an added boost during your workouts, Carlson also suggests sports drinks. You might not even think about them as a sports nutrition product, but they really are helping to fuel your body. A few of the varieties today include carbs and protein, the combination that has been indicate to help cut out damage to muscles and speed up the recovery of your muscles.
Another important factor in building your muscles is protein. A derivative of milk, whey protein is thought to be one of the best muscle building supplements in the market, and can even help out your immune system. Giving the body branched chain amino acids can also help it rebuild and repair your lean muscle tissue. Volek suggests that an average person take it within thirty minutes following a workout, which is the time when your body requires protein the most.
How great of results you see and how fast you see them will depend on where you started. Those who are just starting out an exercise program could stand to benefit the most through consuming a sports nutrition product, but that is only if they are willing to put in the required effort each and every day.
Professor of kinesiology at the University of Connecticut says: “Build a supplement program as you would build an exercise program…Base it on your needs and goals”.

I was reading something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your perspective on it is diametrically contradicted to what I read originally. I am still contemplating over the different points of view, but I’m inclined heavily toward yours. And no matter, that’s what is so super about advanced democracy and the marketplace of thoughts online.

Lots of helpful stuff on this site. Right now I’m focused on getting ripped six pack abs. It’s my personal goal these days. Do you have any diet tips if the goal is to get a six pack as fast as possible? I’ve been told that egg whites, oatmeal, salmon, blueberries and broccoli are all important to incorporate into my diet. Are there any other foods I should consider working into my diet?

Great article. There’s a lot of good info here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Mac OS X with the up-to-date beta of Firefox, and the layout of your blog is kind of quirky for me. I can understand the articles, but the navigation doesn’t function so great.
